About Me

In 2016, a week after graduating from University, two of my best friends and I loaded a Subaru Outback and took to the open road. The mission: explore all that this country offers. Under wide skies, amid constantly changing horizons, that summer we discovered what matters in life. We chased those spots they call wild, patrolled new cities by wheel, and, for the first time I can remember, experienced all the associated feelings of freedom from routine and obligation (spoiler if you've never felt this way: it feels damn good).

Travel had always been a part of my life but I credit those eleven weeks for igniting new passions in me. A year and a half later, I left the country with a backpack, a one way ticket and anticipation for all the highs and lows a year of solo travel would surely bring. This blog records some of the experiences of those adventures, it also looks towards the next time I slip on my hiking boots and brace my shoulders for the home contained between two straps. Spirit unbridled, chasing bliss in parts unknown. Let the wild rumpus begin.
